Most online trimmers re-encode your video just to cut it - burning time and quality for nothing. This tool cuts by copying the original streams: the clip between your start and end point is extracted bit-for-bit, in seconds, entirely on your device. Pick a file, set the range (mm:ss or plain seconds), press Trim.
How it works
- Pick a video from your device or drop it into the box - the video length appears so you know the valid range.
- Enter a start time and, optionally, an end time (mm:ss like 1:30, or plain seconds like 90; leave end empty to keep everything after the start).
- Press Trim video. The clip is extracted with lossless stream copy - no re-encoding - and a download button appears.

Frequently asked questions
Is my video uploaded while trimming?
No. The trim runs inside your browser using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Your file never leaves your device - you can even go offline after the page loads.
Does trimming reduce quality?
No. This tool uses lossless stream copy: the video and audio between your start and end points are copied bit-for-bit, with no re-encoding at all.
Why did my cut start slightly earlier or later than I asked?
Lossless copy can only cut where the video has a keyframe, so the start snaps to the nearest one - usually within a couple of seconds. A frame-exact mode (with re-encoding) is on our roadmap.
What time formats can I type?
Either mm:ss (like 1:30), h:mm:ss (like 1:02:30) or plain seconds (like 90). Decimals work too, e.g. 1:30.5. Leave the end field empty to keep everything after the start point.
Is there a size limit?
Files up to 500 MB are supported. Because trimming is a stream copy, even large files finish in seconds once loaded.
Is this free?
Yes - free, no signup, no watermark, no queue. Processing happens on your device, so there are no per-file server costs to pass on.
